Daniel Lloyd - Croft 20th June 2010

Words:- Leanne Fahy

The weekend of 19-20th June 2010 saw the crowds flock to Croft Circuit for the ever popular British Touring Car Championship. This round of the series always brings in the crowds, but being the last round before the six week break it was bound to bring excitement.

Croft is also well known for the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, which is one of the reasons the marshals turn out in force to see the action. This weekend we had a few of the top BTCC drivers showing their support for the Croft Supporters Club, by taking time from their busy race day schedule to pose for a quick photo and have a chat to some of our marshals.

Matt Neal is always up for a chat and eager to show his support for the club and our marshals, so it was no surprise when he gave up some of his precious time to speak to a small group of Croft marshals.

In keeping with the recent news of local racing driver Daniel Lloyd making his BTCC debut, and also our recent ‘Focus On’ feature about him, the youngster was kind enough to show his support for the Croft Supporters Club as well. Having just returned from a Father’s Day photograph with his dad and a number of the BTCC drivers (and their fathers), Daniel was kind enough to show his appreciation of the club.

All in all it was another successful weekend, with everyone enjoying themselves. Great racing and enthralled spectators were the perfect combination for our much loved circuit.
