On behalf of the Croft Supporters Club I would to extend a thank you to everyone who has joined for the 2011 season. There’s some excellent racing due on 2, 3 and 4 wheels and we hope you will have a enjoyable season.

Obviously the highlights are expected to be the Superbikes, Touring Cars and the Nostalgia Weekend which, if last year is anything to go by, will be a superb weekend for the whole family.

But please don’t discount the ‘Club’ race weekends. Very often the amateur categories are as hard fought as the professionals and, of course, it is a much more relaxed atmosphere with easy access to the vehicles and competitors.

Kicking off the season on 4 wheels is the local Darlington & District Motor Club. The event is on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April giving you somewhere to escape the traffic jams over Easter Weekend. Each day there will be a 4 hour endurance event for a full grid of VW Beetle lookalikes known as The Fun Cup. Last years winners crossed the line only seconds ahead of a fighting pack, Porsche Cup, Porsche Open and the ever popular Northern Saloon & Sports Car Championship (an oversubscribed grid!).

New for 2011 we will be offering Sunday Lunchtime hospitality but the Circuit needs to know numbers so could you please either email tracey@croftcircuit.co.uk or ring 01325 721815 before Wednesday next week.

We are also working on a Meet & Greet evening ahead of the Touring Cars similar to last year with Andrew Jordan – who then went on to take his first win, just shows the power of local support. Unfortunately, the Superbike evening was cancelled in 2010 as only one enquiry was received but, if sufficient are interested, we might just have time to do something.
