Cycle Racing – 10th May 2011 (Week 5)
Cycle Racing – 10th May 2011 (Week 5)
I managed to get to the circuit about halfway through the senior race and found the usual varied mix of competitiors.
The police
and the military were represented
as well as
northern universities.
Any thoughts of a pleasant evening ride
were soon dispelled as groups combined
and re-combined.
Lap after lap, there were serious attacks being made.
Well recovered from his recent crash, Dan Smith was able to follow his usual policy of flying off the front near the end. This time he had Richard Medows for company but the victory went to Dan after a technical issue.
Ten seconds later, the next half dozen were led in by Craig Anderson
Whilst a huge, thundering bunch
was headed home by Andy Miles
and the ladies’ win went to Jen Milson.
Two wheeled action will be a little quicker over the weekend (BSB 14-15th May 2011) but we shall be back to normal in a week’s time.
