‘Shakey’ Byrne partly made up for his mechanical failure in race 1 by running away with race 2.

Byrne takes the centre of the podium after race 2 flanked by (right) John Hopkins and (left) Stuart Easton. Easton had at serious accident at the NW 200 a few days later but his recovery may well be aided by the promise of a bike from Paul Bird for next season.
