The May sunshine shone down on Croft today, Wednesday 25th May, as one of our Supercar Gift Experience Days got underway. Still in the early stages of our Gift Experience season, this was one of the first supercar days held so far this year, and it attracted some great interest.

The main attraction of the day was the brand new Ferrari 458. Despite being a light car, it comes equipped with an ultra high performance engine, and with a 4.5 litre V8 engine powering you around the track this futuristic supercar lives up to its full potential. As well as being new to the Ferrari world, the Italian supercar is also very new to us here at croft.

The morning session saw our guests sample the Ferrari 458 and other supercars around our short circuit layout, as they got a taste of the cars in the new-for-2011 ‘Thrill’ experiences. The Thrill Experiences are offered across each of our cars, whether it is the single-seaters or the supercars. It was designed to give those with a need for speed the objective to learn the craft of driving on a track, without the pressure of a long and challenging circuit layout.

After a steady morning in the North Yorkshire sunshine, the afternoon session was back to our full circuit, with the twists and turns entertaining our visitors. Joining the Ferrari 458 out on track we had the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Audi R8, Lamborghini LP670 and our Ferrari 355. Also new for this year the Lamborghini brought with it its little brother, the Lamborghini Gallardo, to make it a real battle of the Italian machines with the two Italian marques battling it out for track supremacy.
