Croft Circuit Cycle Races 5th July – Round 13

The light was gloomy and pretty flat but fortunately the racing was quite the opposite, beginning as is the custom with the Juvenile race.

The boys and girls

attacked the course and each other in their normal serious yet sporting way.

Having fun

and emulating their heroes and heroines

Until the chequered flag was shown.

As the light levels fell further it was the turn of the senior men

and women

to lay siege to the track

As the groups coalesced the attacks came

one after the other

but none was successful. This left a big bunch to contest the final sprint.

An unfortunate miscomunication at the human / I T interface meant that a perusal of the last lap photographs was necessary to finalise the results.

Thank heavens for redundancy and backup systems.
