Soon or later a winter series will remind you what sometimes happens in winter.

Velo29.com had hoped that it might have been possible to clear enough ice from the circuit to allow racing to take place on the stadium section.

However, come Saturday morning this proved to be optimistic and the races had to be cancelled for the safety of those hardy souls who had turned up in spite of the conditions.

This is the second year of the Winter Series and the first race lost because of the weather, so fingers crossed for next weekend.
