Croft BSB 2011 – Race 2 result

The weather held off for the second Croft BSB of 2011. Shane Byrne took a fairly easy win in front of a very large crowd, with Stuart Easton and John Hopkins rounding off the top three.

There were numerous battles throughtout the pack and luckily not as many crashes as in the first race of the day.

The top three were as follows:-

  1. Shane Byrne (Honda – HM Plant Honda)
  2. Stuart Easton (Kawasaki – MSS Colchester Kawasaki)
  3. John Hopkins (Suzuki – Samsung Crescent Racing)

Tickets selling fast ahead of 180MPH Superbike race action at Croft Circuit

The countdown is almost over… there are now just a few days to go before some of the world’s top motorcycle racers arrive at the Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire for their annual visit to the region and the latest round of the 2011 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship this coming weekend (13-15 May).

More details of the superb line-up of entertainment during the first Croft Nostalgia Weekend (7-8 August) have been released.

The first event of its kind in the North-East will feature 16 races for an increasing number of (now more than 180) rare and iconic sports, saloon, GT and single-seater cars from the Forties, Fifties, Sixties and Seventies. The line-up is worth many millions of pounds with some cars having been individually valued at £250,000. continue reading…
