The weather was changeable for free practice and qualifying but thankfully race day was dry and sunny for the tenth round of the MCE British Superbike Championship. The ‘title showdown’ started here in North Yorkshire with the top six riders following the last round at Cadwell Park going into battle over the last seven races of the season for the ultimate crown. Worx Crescent Suzuki’s Tommy Hill is a strong contender for the crown along with HM Plant Honda team mates Ryuichi Kiyonari and Josh Brookes. Joining them in the top six are the Irish Relentless Suzuki by Tas riders Michael Laverty and Alistair Seeley, and Michael Rutter having a superb season on his Ridersmotorcycles.com Ducati. continue reading…

Dan Linfoot

After two years with Regional and National success racing Mini Bikes, Dan Linfoot moved up a gear to the 125cc class with many club racing wins at Croft under his belt and he quickly moved on to the national scene in 2004. It was a steep learning curve for the naturally talented young man from Knaresborough, but he finished a very creditable twenty-fourth overall. He excelled the following season finishing fourth overall in the British 125 championship, his highlight was being granted a ‘wildcard ride’ at the ‘monsoon like’ British Grand Prix at Donington Park, where he stunned the opposition crossing the finish line in a sensational ninth position. continue reading…

Since Dennis Hobbs won his first race on his road racing debut at Croft circuit in 1999 it was evident that the former fourteen times schoolboy Moto Cross champion was a force to be reckoned with.
