Cycle Events at Croft Circuit 2010
Croft Circuit has long had good working relationships with the local cycling community and its various cycling clubs. The circuit and four cycling clubs from the surrounding area have worked together to allow the circuit and its excellent facilities to be used to host Croft Circuit Races.
Croft Circuit races are a series of events run every year run between 13th April 2010 and 31st August 2010 inclusive, and are an ideal way to experience cycle racing in a safe and controlled environment as they are run on the motor racing circuit away from any traffic.
There are two races run each Tuesday evening, with the first being for kids who vary in age with categories for under 8’s, under 10’s, under 12’s, under 14’s and under 16’s. The adult race is the second of the evening and is open to anyone aged 16 years and above. Races are divided into various groups of ability via a handicap system, so this gives everyone entered a chance and with any luck, everybody finishes together.
Events are run in all conditions and have even been known to attract famous riders like Chris Newton, a star on the velodrome and a former World Champion and Olympic medallist.
